new song

new song

there's nothing more therapeutic after a maddening day than sitting down to write, so that's what i did this afternoon.
the resulting song should be up on my page.
if not, check back tomorrow; myspace can be temperamental.

i've promised myself to start learning protools starting september 5 (steve, we can learn together- bicoastal like).

the drum in this is a sample; i still haven't figured out how do that myself yet.

A Million

At night I come home
From the holy circus
The painted faces
Help to take the pain away

So many people
They wait for me and
The brilliant blue shines
Keeping solitude at bay

I can reach out to a million
I can reach out to a million
I can reach out to a million
But I cant reach out to you

You do not ask much
Youre soft and gracious
Your gentle touch momentarily
Gives me escape

But soon thereafter
I am imprisoned
By ghostly wardens
And I have to run away

I can reach out to a million
I can reach out to a million
I can reach out to a million
But I cant reach out to you

These perfect white walls
Never been dirtied
Stare back in emptiness
At familiar company

Only in big halls
Does my terror recede
A sea of people
In mass intimacy

I can reach out to a million
I can reach out to a million
I can reach out to a million
But I cant reach out to you
