maybe the cold has chilled the fingers?

i found four errors in almost as many articles while reading through the times this morning. errors like, "The average temperature for January so far has been about 7 degrees warmer than usual, Mr. Miner said, with been little snow to speak of."

i don't remember this happening before, and there's a reason for that: because i'm crap at grammer, punctuation, spelling, and syntax, and nyt journalists are not, so if i'm noticing this....
hmmm.
