ok- this is probably news to no one but i the overheard in new york website is a wonderful little guilty pleasure and a great site to peruse when the work day has grown stagnant and needs a little pick me up. there's no end to the fascinating things people say here.

Employee: What kind of bagel did you want?
Guy: Poppyseed.
Employee: Oh, we don't have poppyseed. We have plain, everything, and cinnamon raisin.
Guy: Everything. I just need the opiates.
